Lesson Learned

Day 2 at Beckwith Interiors = I soooo wish that I had my camera. As I was walking out to my car this morning, the little voice in my head (with its British accent), said to me… “You might want to take your camera today. It couldn’t hurt.” And like an idiot, I ignored that little British voice of mine. Well hopefully I learned my lesson because today would have been a fun day to have it. At the office I got to meet Martin and he is so fabulous.I called the reps from Hickory Chair and Lee Industries to get updated fabric samples for our materials library. Then Samantha had me call some of our vendors for pricing and availability for some fabric. I felt all official and stuff, haha. I’m still working on the list for Jamie about the Press Release she wants to send out, so hopefully I can get all that worked out soon. About noon Samantha spoke with the warehouse and they said they needed some help there, so we headed over there as soon as we could. There I met Jamie’s father Bill and brother Blake, and another associate Lauren. They are also very nice and made me feel welcome right away. They were working on an order that came back because the client wasn’t happy with it. Everything would have been all fine and dandy but their machines weren’t working so… we had to do everything by hand. Don’t worry, that just means we had to sand hundred of blocks by hand. They kept on apologizing and hoped that it wouldn’t scare me off but it really didn’t bother me. It was fun to just sit there and talk to them. Once I was finished there they sent me home so I got off a little bit early tonight which was nice. I’m sorry that I didn’t bring my camera, but I will be better about pictures.

Until then here are a few of the products in Jamie’s award winning flooring.
